In ancient Greece and Rome, pork was considered a staple source of food. They created, among others, murcella or what we call in Spain morcilla sausage, farta salcicia called salchichón, a dried, cured salumi.
In Fribin, we continue the tradition of products under the Montearagon label, products enjoyed by generations: fuet, salchichón, chorizo, and longaniza, a variety of the freshest Spanish charcuterie. Through careful work we achieve quality results while maintaining the same great flavor passed down by tradition.
To produce Jamon Serrano, our Montearagon label signifies our careful, deliberate choice of livestock according to its size, gender, and precise level of fat. After a long, slow curing process, in the foothills of the Aragonese Pyrenees, our ham ages in a controlled environment until it reaches its optimal quality. This aging process, whose length is guaranteed by the Montearagon label, results in ham that will satisfy even the most demanding palate.
